WABASH DAY 2019

Indianapolis alumni, friends, and family worked with Gleaners Food Bank to sort and package 6,637 pounds of donated food to be distributed to food pantries across Indiana. The work performed for WABASH Day translates to approximately 5,531 meals for hungry Hoosiers. Thanks to all who participated!

Chicago alumni and friends partnered with Alliance for the Great Lakes' adopt-a-beach initiative and cleared trash and debris from 12th Street Beach.

Wabash men from across DFW gathered at the Dallas Heritage Village to lend a helping hand to their community. These Wabash men spent the day helping tear down old fencing at one of the sites and cleaning up the surrounding park grounds”

The Evansville group volunteered at Tri-State Food Bank packing approximately 350 boxes of food totaling 7500 pounds for distribution within the community. The food was designated for the Senior Food Program serving senior citizen shut-ins and for the Mobil Food Bank in the underprivileged areas of Evansville.

For the 15th consecutive year Kevin Benefiel '81 led a group of Wabash alumni, family, and friends to assist The Villages with various projects. The Villages provides foster care, adoption, quality child care, and early childhood development services.

The Villages project for WABASH DAY 2019 included the cleaning and organizing of two large storage rooms.

Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville, TN was assisted by a few Wabash men and others to process over 7,500 lbs of food that will translate to more than 6,300 meals for the middle TN area.
