The historic park seats nearly 3,000. The plastic modern seats came from Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta. Moseman shoots photos at each home game.
It's a beautiful setting for a Friday night baseball game. Unfortunately on this night, the Bombers dropped a tough 1-0 game to Hannibal.
It's the same at all levels. Little boys want to grow up to be like the ball players. The college-aged players are very accessible to the kids before and after every game.
League Stadium is still known as the home of the movie's Rockford Peaches.
The college-aged baseball players come from all across the country to participate in the Prospect League.
The old-fashioned touches remain from the re-construction done for the movie. And the manual scoreboard still exists in left field.
The team even has the usual goofy mascot!
After escorting the players to the outfield these little guys are headed to the stands.
And what would a baseball game be without between-the-innings promotions? These two guys were the finalists in a dance contest!
Current billboard advertising is spread around the outfield fence with these historic advertisements created for the movie.
Chad Evans, Middle Tennessee State, had a sterling effort going 8 innings, allowing just one run on five hits, but lost Friday's game 1-0.
