Community Computer Recycle Day

a group of cars and trucks with boxes

Wabash IT Services and the Wabash Environmental Concerns Committee sponsored a Crawfordsville Community Computer Recycle Day on Saturday, October 27.  Wabash faculty, staff and students, as well as members of the greater Crawfordsville community, could drop off obsolete computers, monitors, and printers at no cost.  The equipment will be recycled by RecycleForce of Indianapolis.

Some people brought lots of stuff!

Donations were sorted by type of equipment.

One of the few lulls gave everyone a chance to take a quick break.

Equipment kept coming even once the semi trailer was full, so RecycleForce employees began loading equipment into their supply truck.

We thought things were winding down until a truck from Thrifty Supply (the yellow truck) arrived with a huge load of equipment.  Thrifty had recently upgraded their computer system and were dropping off the old systems.

The truck behind holds the equipment that wouldn't fit in the semi trailer. Others not pictured who helped with the recycle day include Jamie Ross (Wabash IT Services) and Ginny Maharry (Wabash Library).
