Bruce Serlin is an associate professor of biology at DePauw University, where he specializes in cellular biology. He received his PhD from the University of Texas-Austin. Bruce was awarded a sabbatical leave for the 2007–2008 academic year in order to work at the Center of Inquiry as a visiting scholar. His primary interest is in discerning what the student learning outcomes of general science education requirements are and how to design classes to fulfill these desired outcomes.
