Master Storyteller, David Denman, will present "An Evening with John Muir"

Crawfordsville, Ind. — The Wabash College Lecture Committee is pleased to announce the visit to campus of master storyteller, David Denman. On Monday evening, January 27, Denman will take on the role of John Muir, famous traveler, conservationist, inventor, and indomitable spirit. The entertainment will start at 7:45 p.m. in the Lovell Lecture Room of Baxter Hall.

Warm drinks and cookies will be served as you prepare to enjoy a thrilling and entertaining evening of stories and exploration of a remarkable man who was unafraid to encounter the beauty and perils of nature. In reflecting on John Muir, Denman writes "No boundaries contain the spirit that is continually coming from the life of this man who spoke eloquently of the wild places he visited."

Denman is an environmental engineer from Brown County with a great enthusiasm for John Muir. He has been doing interpretive performances of John Muir for the past 20 years. He now works for an environmental remediation company that advises other agencies how to meet regulations. Previously he worked for the State of Indiana in enforcing environmental laws.
