52nd Annual Christmas Festival of Music and ReadingsWabash College’s 52nd Annual Christmas Festival of Music and Readings will be presented at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Wabash College Chapel. Seasonal music will commence at 7:30 p.m..

The Christmas Festival, which was inaugurated at Wabash in 1968, alternates music performances, congregational hymns, and Bible readings. It is modeled on the King’s College Festival of Lessons and Carols at Cambridge University, England.

The Christmas Festival will feature songs of the Christmas season, including selections by the Brass Ensemble, Wamidan World Music Performance Ensemble, various instrumental soloists, by the Glee Club. The audience will also have the opportunity to join together in singing several Christmas carols during the program.

Readers for the evening include Wabash students, faculty, staff, as well as members of the Crawfordsville community.

The traditional Christmas Festival is co-sponsored by the music and religion departments and is free and open to the public. There will be a reception following the Festival in the Sparks Center.
