The Class of 1954 competes in the Alumni Chapel Sing
Saturday at Big Bash Reunion Weekend featured a Fun Run and Walk, colloquium sessions by alumni and trustees, the first annual Alumni Chapel Sing competition, lunch on the Mall, class pictures, and a reception for the Class of 1954 hosted by President and Mrs. Ford.
John Burrell made short work of the Fun Run, turning four miles in just over 26 minutes on a cool, sunny morning at J. Owen Huntsman Track.
Richard Moak ’69 and Mike Medler ’74 led a fascinating colloquium session on the criminal justice system, and later trustees spoke about the state of the College.
The highlight of the day was the first ever Alumni Chapel Sing competition. More than 200 alumni took to the steps of the Chapel to reenact the Chapel Sing of their freshman year at Wabash. The classes of 1954 and 1969 look to be neck-and-neck for the championship.
A lunch on the mall followed by class photographs kept the afternoon festive. And prior to evening class receptions and dinners, the Class of 1954 was hosted by President and Mrs. Ford at an Elston Homestead reception.
