Stucker Named To Academic All-America Team

Wabash College senior offensive lineman Kyle Stucker has been named to the Academic All-America Division III Football First Team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Kyle StuckerStucker earned the honor after receiving Academic All-District VII honors for the second consecutive season. A native of Whiteland, Indiana, he is a rhetoric major and chemistry and biology double-minor with a 3.82 cumulative grade point average. Stucker started all ten games for Wabash on the offensive line for a Little Giant football team that ranked fifth among Division III teams in fourth-down conversions with a success rate of 70 percent and finished 33rd in rushing with an average of 218.3 yards per game. Wabash ranked offensively among the top-50 teams in DIII in team passing efficiency (31st), tackles for losses allowed (42nd), sacks allowed (44th), and were 51st in scoring offense with an average of 35.2 points per game.

Stucker is a two-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team selection (2015, 2016) and was named to the 2015 All-North Region Second Team in 2015.

Stucker served as Beta Theta Pi fraternity president and is a member of the Chemistry Club and Pre-Health Society at Wabash. He is a Senior Fellow with the Wabash Democracy & Public Discourse initiative. He has been involved in programs through the WDPD to assist in public deliberation and civic engagement.

Stucker is the ninth Wabash College student-athlete and fourth member of the Little Giant football program to earn Academic All-America honors since 2011. CoSIDA began the distinguished Academic All-America program in 1952, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America scholar-athlete honors.
