After the Bell: The Night of the Hunter with Professor Matt Weedman

Join Professor Matt Weedman for the first film discussion of the After the Bell series. The Night of the Hunter is a 1955 American thriller film directed by Charles Laughton and starring Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters, and Lillian Gish. A strong crowd pleaser that most have not seen, the film is filled with interesting film and art history. Active participation is encouraged and attendees should view the film prior to participating. Matthew Weedman, Byron K. Trippet Associate Professor of Art

Professor Weedman lives two minutes from campus and is raising a four and a six-year-old with his wife Annie, who also teaches at Wabash. Professor Weedman teaches art, specifically, sculpture, photo, performance and digital technologies. He is in his 7th year at the College and exhibits his art across the country, is a founding member of the Flinching Eye Performance collective, a 2018 Indiana Humanities scholar, and does consulting for professional magicians on TV and across the field.
