The Wabash College Chemistry Department invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning July 1, 2022 in the area of Biochemistry. A second year is possible based on department and college circumstances and needs. A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or a related field is preferred, ABD status will be considered. The teaching assignment of approximately 12 contact hours per semester will be primarily in the junior-year biochemistry course, with other assignments related to general chemistry or biochemistry. The successful candidate must have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, an appreciation for the broad intellectual community of an excellent liberal arts college, and the ability to work with a diverse student body. The Chemistry Department is ACS certified, has six full time faculty, excellent facilities and instrumentation, and support for undergraduate research.
