Program Manager for the Center of Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship (CIBE)

As the Program Manager for the Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship (CIBE), you will play a key role in developing liberal arts students from all majors into business leaders by providing oversight and guidance on projects with partner clients. The Program Manager enjoys being an active member of a high-energy, fast-paced team and collaborates with Professional Development colleagues to staff events, administer career programming, and connect with students. You thrive on developing people, and can both model and motivate others to be highly efficient, self-motivated, accountable, professional, and resourceful. As Program Manager for the CIBE, your role will be to promote the College mission to “education men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely” through the lens of business and entrepreneurship.

This is a year-round, full-time position in the Professional Development team. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Professional Development and Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship (CIBE).

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with business, non-profit, and campus partners
  • Provide guidance and oversight to 20+ student-led projects at a time
  • Assist with developing, planning, and executing a number of events, workshops, and meetings for students, alumni, and other stakeholders
  • Build relationships with 80+ student Innovation Consultants and support their career and leadership development
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial courage
  • Maintain a culture of accountability, productive feedback, and engaging in hard conversations in the spirt of developing students to be their best
  • Lend high level of organization to administrative duties such as managing time cards, tracking attendance, and generating reports
  • May travel with students to-and-from business site visits for off-campus learning opportunities, and on occasion, driving a 15-passenger van to help transport groups.
  • Support all areas of the CIBE, including recruiting, supervising, and evaluating student consultants, creating and presenting reports to stakeholders, and representing the program in a variety of settings
  • Other duties as assigned, with opportunities for growth and development in other areas as well

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Top-notch organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
  • Agility and willingness to learn other technology platforms as needed
  • Familiarity with Handshake or Customer Relationship Management (CRM), project management, Canva or graphic design, social media, email marketing tools preferred
  • Experience in a business, startup, education, and/or administrative roles and settings preferred; Open to a wide range of relevant experience and backgrounds
