Description: In this course we will study the history of the queer theatre movement and how queer theatre makers were impacted by different moments in American theatre history. Students will be asked to examine how queerness and the societal acceptability of queerness impacts the work of artists, American theatre, and queer performance. Students will also be asked to examine their own biases in relation to different forms of queer performance.
