Description: Mujeres, Machos, and Mujercitos: Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Modern Latin American History This course will focus on women, gender, and sexuality in the history of Latin America from Independence to the 2000s. The course will emphasize the importance of gender and sexuality as categories of historical analysis as it introduces you to the histories of various peoples and nations that make up Latin America to understand the complexities of the region. The course will also ask how questions of race and class alongside how the economy, politics, and culture shape people's gender and sexuality and vice versa. GEN-302-01=HSP-250-03=HIS-350-01
