| Course Section Number: | ENG-196-01 |
| Department: | English |
| Description: | This half-semester course looks at the way sacred texts, and the literary traditions that respond to and dramatize sacred texts, explain birth and death. Where did humans come from, what is our purpose, and what happens to use when we die? These are the questions that religious traditions around the world attempt to answer, and we will read the stories, poems, sacred texts, and plays that explore how theories of how we begin and how we end means we should live. 1st half semester course |
