Title: Economics of Mental Health

Description: This course looks at the history of mental health regulations and current condition of mental healthcare system in the US. Students will learn theories about socioeconomic determinants of mental disorder and economic impact of mental illness. Students will also spend time reading current published papers by mental health economists and spend time to discuss their thoughts in class. The primary focus will be on understanding the economic aspects of mental health in the US.
