| Course Section Number: | ENG-108-02 |
| Department: | English |
| Description: | From the medieval period until today, the legend of King Arthur and his round table of knights has persisted in the cultural imagination. In this class, we will read some of the most lasting iterations of the Arthurian myths, including the 15th-century classic Le Morte D'Arthur, the 19th-century retelling Idylls of the King, and more modern retellings and films. The class takes as its thesis that each generation creates the Arthurian legends anew to reflect the spirit of the age. This one-half credit course meets three times a week for the second half of the semester. Prerequisites: none. |
