Do you know of someone who would make a good Wabash man?

Depauw 1 - Wabash 0 (16MAR07)

Despite the fact that the majority of our students acted in a professional
manner today at WorkIndy, 3 Wabash students did not bother to show up to
their interviews, did not call to cancel, nothing.

100% of the DePauw students showed up for their interviews.  As we
mentioned when we first introduced this program this year, it was held
previously, but then not held for a number of years because of such
behavior by Wabash students.  So DePauw wins again.  And will continue to
beat us (along with many other schools) until the culture of acceptance of
non-professional behavior is completely eliminated.  It had been markedly
improved this year, until today.

The affected employers now have a dim view of Wabash (and these were
alumni-initiated employers by the way) all due to the actions of 3
students.  If you were one of the interviewers, which school would you
choose to recruit from going forward?

Career Services can create all the events and opportunities for you to
connect with employers that we can possibly manage, but we will ultimately
fail if students don't treat such opportunities with common courtesy and
respect.  This affects each and every one of you, the reputation of your
school with recruiters and alumni, and your post-graduate possibilities.

However, we would like to thank those students who did show up.  You did a
great job, and we appreciate your support.
