"The Graduate School (at The Ohio State University) helps fulfill the University’s academic goals by fostering quality in graduate education and research and by promoting cultural diversity in the community of graduate faculty and students. The Graduate provides leadership in graduate education and research in ways that exemplify the highest standards of the academy and contribute to the reputation of the University as one of the major public teaching and research institutions in the world.
"The Graduate School:
- Represents the University’s graduate education interests and reputation in state, national, and international arenas.
- Facilitates and implements faculty and student governance of graduate education through the Council on Research and Graduate Studies.
- Ensures the integrity and standards of master’s and doctoral degrees at Ohio State.
- Supports the University community by providing essential administrative services relating to graduate education.
- Promotes the professional development of graduate students and the Graduate Faculty."
