History of Christianity in Africa, Where Did You See God Today?

a group of people holding hands together

During our third night in Nairobi, Professor Warner asked the class a question two ways (one for those who wished to approach the question from the perspective of their own faith, one for those who preferred a secular view): Where did you see God today, or, If you were a person a faith here, where do you think you might have seen God today?
The question inspired one of the most productive discussions of the trip, and I was recalling that night as I glanced through folders of photos from our two weeks in Kenya. I quickly pulled 12 photos that could be responses to that question and put them together here—hardly a highlight reel. Just the first 12 I found. But it caused me to realize that the answer to the question, regardless of which way one wished to phrase it, was "practically everywhere."
The photo above was taken during an aftergame huddle between our guys and students at Nairobi International School after the hosts had soundly defeated us in basketball.
