Alamo, Indiana

a building with a curved roof

The House that Charlie Bowerman '61 helped build. I swear, when I walked near the side of the building, I could hear the buzzer going off and the fans screaming. Much better days back then.

a building with a large roof

Side view of the gym...

a field of corn growing

The entire town seems surrounded by weeds and corn...tall corn.

a white church with a steeple

The Alamo Christian Church

a wooden sign with a couple of words

Alamo does have the most interesting, handmade street signs. All of them appeared like someone was in the process of taking them off.

a white tank in a yard

In the day, you only had to walk a couple of blocks, at most, to be at "the game" on a Friday night in Alamo.

a row of fire station doors

The Alamo fire department appears to have all the equipment they'll ever need, if the size of the fire department is any indication.

a mailbox next to a building

This is about all I could find to call the downtown.

a old car in a field next to a house

There are too many places like this in town...it's especially sad...
