Arizona Travel

a group of cactus trees and bushes

One of my first visits was to Cactus High School in Glendale, AZ.  Judging by the landscape, I'm not in Indiana anymore, Toto.

Cactus High School, Home of the Cobras.  Pretty intimidating mascot if you ask me.  A bit scarier than that of my alma mater, the Frankfort Hot Dogs.

The view from my parking spot at the aptly named, Mountain Ridge High School.

a desert landscape with mountains in the background

On my way to Tucson, I stopped to stretch my legs a bit.  Thought about talking a walk, but didn't think this Hoosier would fare too well on this terrain.

a cactus plants in the desert

This is the front yard of a home nearby one of the high schools I visited.  If you're in the lawn care business, I don't think you'll find much work in Tucson.

a mountain with a blue sky

This stunning view is from the parking lot at Canyon Del Oro High School.  I constantly found myself checking out the scenery while driving from one school to the next.

a large blue football on a concrete surface

Had a little free time on Thursday, so I swung by the University of Arizona to look around for a few.  As you can see, they play big-time football here.

Looks like I'm heading out to the desert, but in fact, I'm on my way to my final high school visit in Tucson.
