Wabash Day 2008 - Detroit

Wabash alums in Detroit assisted the St. Christine Soup Kitchen in bagging a ton - literally - of food for distribution next week.

We also unpacked and repacked eight cases of toilet paper and prepared thousands of paper and plastic bags to be filled by next week's volunteers.

Our 12 Wabash volunteers learned that tough times have caused St. Christine's to make their bags lighter in order to stretch the amount of food supplied to the needy on Detroit's west side.

Our volunteers were: Back row, left to right: Melissa Wilson, wife of Joshua Wilson '03; Sam Gorr '03, Kevin Hornick '94, Marcus Schulz, friend of Joshua Wilson '03, Roy Sexton '95. Front row, left to right: Mark Gilbert '88, Joshua Wilson '03, Terry Hamilton '89, Emily Hamilton, daughter of Terry Hamilton '89, Ann Hornick, wife of Kevin Hornick '94 Sarah Wildgen, mother of Daniel Sweet '04

Kurshaid Alam '93 was not in the picture because he took it.
