St. Louis Association on Hand as Cardinals Down Reds

On a warm and muggy evening July 7, the St. Louis Association of Wabash Men held its annual Cardinals baseball outing.  This joint event with the St. Louis DePauw alumni club brings out alumni, parents, current and prospective students, and other friends of Wabash for a fun evening of Cardinals baseball.

The Wabash crowd, 30 in all, watched as the red hot Cardinals won their sixth straight game.  With the game being as exciting as it was, you would think those on hand would not be able to enjoy the company of other Wabash friends.  This was far from true however, as there seemed to be a great deal of seat swapping after each inning allowing everyone to visit with each other while still watching the game.

Special thanks to Charlie Raiser '69 for organizing this event once again in 2004.  If you weren't able to make it out for the game this year, we hope you can make it to the next Wabash event in St. Louis.  Stay tuned to the calendar of events (www.wabash.edu/alumni/calendar) on the Wabash website for the latest schedule.
