       Employment List

Students seeking a full-time or transitional (pre-graduate school) job following graduation have a full schedule of opportunities.  We suggest that students seeking a postgraduate job begin the search process on Day 1 of their senior year.  Students seeking opportunities in finance, consulting, or in nationally competitive organizations will begin interviewing in September of the senior year.  Those students choosing to wait until later to begin will have limited opportunities. See our Online Resource Center for links to our Job Search websites.

WabashWorks
All job listings that we receive are posted on WabashWorks, as are all on-campus interviewing opportunities, employer information sessions, career fairs, recruiting events, etc.  This is one-stop-shopping.  In addition to the above, the platform houses our Mentor Network (network with alumni), Employer Contact Database, Resume Books, Calendar of Events, and access to Vault, CareerSearch, and our other Job Search resources and subscriptions.  Students upload resumes, cover letters, etc. into the system and apply online through the system for job postings. To use the system effectively, stop by Career Services for a quick system tour at your convenience.

HonorRoll Online
Through HonorRoll, you can connect with the following employers for jobs and internships: ADVO, Allstate, Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, Clarus Health,  General Mills, INSTEC, Intel, Leo Burnett, Loop Capital, Mesirow Financial, Nalco Company, Principal Financial Group, Red Feather Development Group, Shakespeare Squared, Shore Bank, Stryker, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Vital Images.  You must complete a registration and profile with HonorRoll to participate.  Make very sure your Profile is professional and markets you effectively – employers access these profiles directly!

Resume/Cover Letter Critiques
Our Resume Guide and Cover Letter Guide can get you started on the creative process.  Once you create a draft, drop it off at our front desk.  One of our staff will critique it and email you with our feedback.

Peer Career Advisors
Our 8 student peer advisors have been trained to help you with resumes and cover letters, application procedures, WabashWorks, and other job search-related issues.  All our evening hours are staffed by our Peer Advisors.  Stop by for assistance, or send them an IM (WabashCareers).

On-Campus Interviews
Scheduled throughout the academic year, these interviews take place in our facility and require you to apply in advance through WabashWorks.  Professional dress is required.

Employer Information Sessions
Also scheduled throughout the year, these events allow you to meet with employers in a less formal setting to find out more about the employer and opportunities with the organization.  Dress is usually business casual and all events require an advance RSVP through WabashWorks.

Resume Books
We house a number of online resume books through WabashWorks! that are grouped by industry interest and are accessible by employers.  You may upload your resume into any of the books of interest to you, provided that the resume ‘fits’ the industry.

Mentor Network
Also housed in WabashWorks, the Mentor Network allows you to connect with Wabash alumni who have indicated that they would like to be of assistance to you. This is a fantastic networking resource and has resulted in a number of successful job connections.  To use the network properly, download the following: CareerFact, Alunmi/Student Networking.

Housed in WabashWorks, Vault features in-depth information on employers in business and law related fields. Features include
employer and industry-specific message boards, in-depth ‘insider’ information, and over 100 downloadable guides (books) and job search prep videos.

Housed in WabashWorks, CareerSearch is the premier tool for identifying and researching potential employers and uncovering the 'hidden' job market.  You can identify
employers by specific industry type, location, size, number of employees, etc.  There is an international search feature, as well as a Search By Major tool.  Results yield employer description, contact names and live web link.

Events, Workshops, Speakers
Throughout the academic year, we host alumni/student networking events/trips, mock interview programs, alumni and employer panels, guest speakers, and career fairs, in addition to a number of other job search-related events.  Transportation is provided to all off-campus events.  For a current schedule, check out the WabashWorks Calendar or our website Calendar of Events.

Suit Yourself Program
Alumni have donated suits, dress shirts and pants, ties, and dress shoes, to enable all students to dress properly for networking events, interviews, etc.  Students simply check out the clothing of their choice from our Suit Exchange room in Career Services.  Clothing may be checked out for one week and may also be utilized for class presentations and formals.
