Students making career-related decisions will find all the tools and resources they need through our office. Whether you are going directly to graduate school or into the workplace, it is important that you make informed decisions regarding your future. We suggest beginning the process of self-discovery as a freshman. Those who do so will be well-prepared for their future endeavors by graduation day. See our Online Resource Center for links to relevant websites.
Interest Inventories All students are encouraged to take an interest inventory. In addition to our FOCUS2 System below, we offer the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI). These inventories will provide you with a full picture of your interests and how those interests correspond with your goals. Whether you know exactly what you want to do, have no clue, or something in between, these inventories can help you make informed decisions when preparing the path to your future. To take an inventory, you will need to make an appointment to see Scott or Betsy. Contact Toni McKinney at mckinnet@wabash.edu or x6414.

NOTE: Students who already have FOCUS accounts should 'create' an account in the new format. This will give you the option to import the data from your old account. FIRST TIME USERS--just create your account. Call Toni McKinney at 6414, for the school code. Click here to use Focus 2 |
FOCUS2 is a web-based career and educational planning tool we have added to our site for our students free access. It is designed to help you choose a major, select the right courses and plan your career path. Students who use FOCUS2 make better decisions about their goals and plans, and learn how to self manage their careers. You will not need to see a counselor to take FOCUS2. Guide to using FOCUS2.
