Concerned about the affordability of a Wabash education? Students can schedule an appointment with the Financial Aid Office as part of a campus visit. For a student to receive an early estimate of his eligibility for need-based financial assistance, he must schedule a visit by February 1, 2008. After February 1, the actual processing of the financial aid awards begins and estimated awards are no longer available.

Many families considering Wabash wonder if they can afford Wabash.  We understand if you have such concerns.  We want to work with your family to determine if you will be eligible for need-based financial aid and inform you of the financing options available to you and your family.  If you anticipate that finances may be an important factor in your college selection, we encourage you to schedule an interview with the Financial Aid Office during your vist to the Wabash campus.

If you provide our office with the information outlined below, we will use that information to provide you with an early estimate of your eligibility for need-based financial assistance at Wabash College should you be admitted. 

Wabash is committed to making our high-quality education affordable to every admitted student regardless of his family's financial circumstances provided he completes the financial aid process on time each year.  Our admissions decisions are based on each student's intellectual ability and not on his family's financial circumstances.   

Yes, selective schools like Wabash can be more expensive, but because of considerable resources provided by Wabash alumni and friends of the College, we are able to assist families who would otherwise be unable to afford our high-caliber education.


All information provided to the Financial Aid Office remains confidential.

The information will be used exclusively for the purposes of:

• Generating an early analysis of eligibility for need-based financial aid.
• Providing counseling regarding eligibility for need-based financial aid and listing requirements that you must fulfill in order to secure assistance.

So that we may provide the most accurate estimate, please fax or email the following information to the Financial Aid Office at least five business days prior to visiting campus:

1. Student's class rank, cumulative GPA, and SAT/ACT Scores.
2. Copies of 2007 Federal Tax Return and W2 Statement(s) for the student.
3. Listing of assets and values for the student.
4. Copies of 2007 Federal Tax Return and W2 Statements for parents.
5. Anticipated 2008 adjusted gross income for parents.
6. Listing of assets (including home equity) and values for parents and other children.
7. Names of family members in parents' household, their relationships to the student, ages and current grade level in school.
8. Names of children in parents' household attending college at least half-time during the 2008-2009 academic year (2009-2010 if that will be your first year in college), the
   institution(s) they will attend, the parental contribution(s), whether they are attending full-time or half-time, and the semesters they will attend.
9. Child support paid.
10. Child support received.

In Cases of Divorce

The non-custodial parent should submit items 4 - 10 under separate cover directly to the Wabash College Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office will not share the parental information of either parent with the other parent.  We collect this information in order to complete the institutional need analysis based on the student's original family.  In situations where the student has not had contact with the non-custodial parent, the need analysis may be completed by submitting complete information for the student and his parent(s) (custodial parent and their spouse).
