This monthly calendar is for the purpose of letting you know What's Happening on campus of Wabash College. more >>> Andrew Stewart Gives Classic Lecture Tonight The Wabash Classics Department will host Andrew Stewart, an expert on ancient Greek studies, for a talk at 8 p.m. tonight in Lovell Lecture Room in Baxter Hall. The title of his talk is “Designing Women: The Hetaira as Model from Phintias to Praxiteles.” more >>> The Bacchae Runs Through Saturday Once again, the Wabash College Theater has set a new standard. And Elizabeth S. LaFollette Distinguished Professor in the Humanities. Revisited: Eliot, Graves, Auden and Lowell.” His talk will take place at 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, in Lovell Lecture Room (101) in Baxter Hall. more >>> David Porter to Give Classics Lecture and Perform as a Visiting Artist Wabash College invites you to hear Classics scholar and pianist David Porter present a Classics lecture and a rare performance of one of the most challenging works in the piano repertoire. His talk, “On the Divide: Horatian Variations,” will take place at 8 p.m., Thursday, October 23, in Lovell Lecture Room (101) in Baxter Hall. He will then perform as part of the Visiting Artist Series when he plays Charles Ives’ Concord Sonata at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 26 in Salter Hall in the Fine Arts Center. more >>> Ides of August Presented on Friday Wabash College’s annual Ides of August program will be presented in Hays Science Hall, Room 104, Friday, August 22. The Ides of August is the College’s traditional forum for faculty and staff members to discuss their recent projects. more >>> Classics Class Has Arrived in Greece Professor of Classics Leslie Day is leading a May immersion class to Greece. The class is studying the Bronze Age of Greek Archaeology.
