Only One Day Left to See Lamidi Fakeye
Internationally acclaimed wood-carving artist Lamidi Fakeye has been in residence at Wabash all week. He's done public demonstrations of his work each day during the noon hour. He concludes his visit Friday, though an exhibition of his work will remain on display through December.     more >>>

Rare Drums from Nigeria Given to Wamidan

Lamidi Fakeye Exhibit Now Open
The Art Department's exhibition of wood-carved sculpture by internationally-acclaimed Nigerian sculptor, Lamidi Fakeye, opened to a large and enthusiastic crowd Monday night. The exhibit in the Eric Dean Gallery will remain open to the public through December 11.     more >>>

Montgomery Art Fair Has Strong Wabash Connection
The Eighth Annual Downtown Fall Art Exhibit will kick off with the Gala Opening at 6 p.m., Friday, in front of the Montgomery County Courthouse, with master of ceremonies Jim Amidon ’87. The annual art fair has a strong Wabash representation.     more >>>

Eleanor Spiess-Ferris and Krista Hoefle Open Art Season
The Art Department at Wabash College is excited to announce its first exhibit of the season. Wabash College will show “Sorrows of Swans” by Eleanor Spiess-Ferris and “The Girl Who Stopped Being Human!” by Krista Hoefle in the Eric Dean Gallery from August 31 through October 14 with a public reception 8-9:30 p.m. on Monday, August 31.     more >>>

Dedication Celebrates Bachner's Legacy
More than 150 people from environmental organizations and several Indiana counties joined Mike Bachner’s family and friends and colleagues from Wabash College and the Crawfordsville community to dedicate the Mike Bachner Nature Reserve near the banks of Sugar Creek.     more >>>

The five Wabash senior art majors opened their exhibition Monday night to a large and supportive crowd of classmates, family, and friends. The Wabash College Art Department is proud to present the work of five senior art majors. The exhibit includes paintings by Jake Huston, Steve Mosier, Joel Patterson, and Mark Turpin, and ceramics by Nick Roudebush. Immersion in Art — New York City
Juan Diaz, '10 - The New York trip has come to an end. We saw great works by great artists such as Cezanne, Frida Kahlo, Pollock, Picasso, and Georgia O’Keeffe. We witnessed art from all over: African Art, Oceana Art, art from the Americas, European Art, and Asian art; as well as art form different time periods.     more >>>

Students Study, Work During Break
While some college students prepare for spring break in Daytona, Cancun, or maybe South Padre Island, Wabash students will visit Spain, France, Italy, and Belgium. Wabash men will sing in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and do mission work in New Orleans and Africa.     more >>>
