It will provide students with the tools of linguistic analysis and apply them to the study of Spanish. Attention is given to different levels of analysis in linguistics, including morphology, syntax, phonetics, phonology, language variation (dialects), and language change over time. Class time will be divided between lecture, problem-solving exercises, discussion, and student presentations. |
