Claude Johnson describes the work the students will do to get equipment loaded on four fire trucks that will be shipped off to Mexico in September. The fire trucks and equipment are donated by Central Indiana fire departments. Johnson coordinates the effort, which already has sent nine fully-loaded trucks to various cities in Mexico.

Wabash men provided the heavy lifting of SCBs — Self-Contained Breathing units — from a huge pile on the floor to the trucks that will carry them to Mexico.

One big chore the freshmen accomplished was sorting through large piles of fire protection gear. The students made short work of sorting the coats and pants by color and size.

Freshman Jack Ruddy, whose father John ’81is a Wabash alumnus, got his hands on a "Jaws of Life," which was donated to the local Rotary Club.

These students helped the First Baptist Church realize an 18-month dream — to demolish old playground equipment. Nothing like letting Little Giants wreak some helpful havoc!

When the electric saw went on the fritz, the Wabash guys used their muscle to twist off a large piece of playground equipment.

While some Wabash guys labored in the heat, others got lighter assignments. Here Grayson Stone sorts through some puzzles and games at the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County.
