Spencer Whitehead '11 and the rest of the Little Giant senior football players departed this morning for their annual preseason team-building activity in Colorado.
Over the weekend, the steel bridge that ran over the track in the east endzone was removed. Workers spent the morning preparing the small area for turf.
The turf crew began hauling in the rolls of turf early morning. The crew had just finished the University of Michigan's field at the Big House Saturday and arrived in Crawfordsville shortly thereafter.
Every roll needed to be on the stadium before turf could be unrolled.
