Art Exhibit - Works on Paper

The Wabash College Art Department is pleased to announce its next exhibit, Works on Paper: Drawings, Prints, and Photographs from the Permanent Collection. The show, in the Eric Dean Gallery, will take place from January 18 through February 27 with a public reception 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 18.

The exhibition features a wide range of works on paper from the Wabash College Permanent Collection of Contemporary Art. While curated to enhance teaching and learning of the studio arts and art history classes during spring semester, the exhibition gives viewers an appreciation of the breadth and depth of the permanent collection. The works showcase the artistic vision of numerous contemporary artists, as well as a few well-known masters, including Dali and Picasso. The drawings, prints, and photographs encompass a wide range of media highlighting the diverse formal, material, and conceptual approaches to art making.

An additional collection of contemporary prints is displayed in the Huebner Gallery in conjunction with the Works on Paper exhibit. The prints are a gift from Tom and Marie Stocks, Wabash class of 1973. They will be at the art opening reception for the formal acknowledgement of their generous gift to the College.

The Eric Dean Gallery is located on the south end of the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The gallery is free and open to the public and his handicap accessible.
