Nadja Halibegovich to Give Talk Wednesday

Wabash College will present a talk by Nadja Halibegovich, often called the “Anne Frank of Bosnia. Nadja will give her talk at 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, in the College Chapel. 

Nadja is an internationally known peace advocate and speaker whose diary, My Childhood Under Fire, was written as a 12-year-old huddled in her family’s apartment in Sarajevo. During her days as a student at Butler University, Nadja attended a peace conference in California during which she decided to dedicate her life to speaking and advocating for peace in all of its forms.
 
She now resides in Toronto with her Canadian-born husband and travels through the U.S. and Canada visiting and speaking at schools, churches, and universities, peace conferences, including at the Holocaust Museum.
 
Her talk is free and open to the public.
