2011 Wabash Day - Chicago

The Wabash Club of Chicago participated in the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ Adopt-a-Beach program.  The Adopt-a-Beach program is not merely a beach sweep; the Wabash Club also was responsible for monitoring beach conditions, water conditions, bather load, and potential pollution sources.  In order to get the job done efficiently they split up into three teams to make their beach adoption a successful one.  Below are pictures of each team, what they were responsible for, and the most interesting items collected during their trash and recycling pickup along the shoreline.
