Horn, Wood Claim Weekly NCAC Honors

Senior Dan Ryan Wood and junior Jonathan Horn have been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week for their efforts in the Wabash football team's 42-21 victory over Oberlin on Saturday.

Wood (left), a graduate of St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, led the Little Giant defense with eight tackles, including five solo stops. He also had a pass breakup. Wabash held the Yeomen to 250 yards of total offense in the win. Wood plays both linebacker and defensive back for the Little Giants.

Wood also returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown for the eighth-longest kickoff return in Wabash history. He averaged 45.7 yards per kickoff return in three attempts while also averaging 9.5 yards on two punt returns.
