Wabash Day 2010 - Evansville

The Evansville Association of Wabash Men had a highly successful 2010 WABASH DAY with seven participants contributing their time and sweat to the benefit of the Evansville Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC).

Graduates from four different decades provided their efforts to “deconstruct” suspended ceilings from the office areas at ARC, a dusty job that prepared the area for professional crews scheduled to start on October 11.

Eric Strehl ’91, Gordon Vogel ’72, Matt Piechocki ’03, Joab Schultheis ’91, Wayne Hentrup ’84, Jon Reitz ’88, and Thom Liffick ’73 also painted about 300 feet of exterior fence to improve the appearance of the parking area for agency staff.

Donuts provided by Eric Strehl, lunch provided by Barb Liffick and teamwork provided by seven Little Giants made for a great 6th WABASH DAY in Evansville. We were also greatly assisted by Tony Winstead and Jennifer Bayer, staff at ARC who guided us through our project.

Credit is also due to Jon Pactor for organizing all six WABASH DAYs over the last five years. A great idea with rewarding results!
