History Professor Steve Morillo’s sense of humor is well known on campus so it only seemed fitting that the presentation of the College’s top teaching award to the teacher, scholar, artist, and musician should have a lighter touch. So when Dean of the College Gary Phillips announced Morillo’s winning of the McLain-McTurnan-Arnold Award for Excellence in Teaching at last semester’s Awards Chapel, he also presented him with a cartoon featuring the main character Morillo draws in his weekly comic strip for the College newspaper.
