San Francisco Alum Helps Childcare Center

There were two volunteers for San Francisco.  Vanessa Wilcox (my long time girlfriend) and I joined the board of directors of Compass Community Services for a beautification day at the Tenderloin Childcare Center.  Compass Community Services provides housing, education and employment services to San Francisco's homeless and at-risk families.

The agency's four programs support more than 3,000 parents and children each year in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Services include crisis intervention, homeless prevention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, intensive case management and therapy, job training, enriched infant care and childcare, and permanent housing placement.

We spent the day painting a play room, cleaning walls, floors, and windows and hanging new curtain rods and curtains.
