Poet Dana Roeser to Give Reading on Tuesday

Wabash College is pleased to welcome poet Dana Roeser on Tuesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. The winner of the GLCA New Writers Award in poetry will give a reading of her work in Center Hall, room 216.

Roeser is the winner of the 2005 Great Lakes Colleges Association’s New Writer Award and is currently the Jenny McKean Moore Writer-in-Washington at George Washington University.

Her first book of poems, Beautiful Motion won the Samuel French Morse Prize in 2004 and was published by the Northeastern University Press. Roeser’s poems have appeared, or are forthcoming, in The Iowa Review, The Indiana Review, The Massachusetts Review, and many other magazines.

Roeser earned her bachelor’s degree at Tulane University and both a master’s and master of fine arts degree at the University of Virginia. She also has completed course work for a doctorate at the University of Utah.

Roeser’s reading is free and open the public. A reception and book signing will follow in Center Hall, room 206.
