Hughes Applauded for Pro Bono Work

Muncie attorney Richard Hughes ’65 was honored in October with the Randall T. Shepard Award for his contributions to the pro bono movement in the State of Indiana.

Hughes, an economics major during his Wabash student days, was acknowledge for his "tireless efforts in developing and running the pro bono program in Delaware County." Hughes has been instrumental in recruiting volunteer attorneys, handling applicant intake, and making connections with local bar associations, the Indiana law magazine Res Gestae reported in its December 2005 issue.
