The Wabash College Classic Department invites you to hear speaker, John G. Pedley, give a talk at 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, in Hays Hall, room 104. The title of his talk is "Sanctuaries and the Sacred in the Ancient Greek World."
Pedley is Professor Emeritus of Classical Archaeology and Greek at the University of Michigan. Pedley has excavated extensively throughout the Mediterranean, most recently at the city of Poseidonia/Paestum in Italy. He is the author of several books, including the widely-used introductory text, "Greek Art and Archaeology."
His talk is free and open to the public.
