Two of a community’s most essential responsibilities are celebrating its people and remembering them. Wabash did much of both in 2015.

Not a week after savoring student work in January 2015’s Celebration of Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Work, we grieved the tragic death of one of our best and brightest, Robert Dirks ’00, in a Metro-North train accident in New York.

We reveled in the return of Professor Emeritus of Classics John Fischer H’70 to receive an honorary doctorate at Commencement in, then mourned the death of Professor of French Tom Stokes in July.

‘To everything there is a season” at Wabash. But in all seasons the lesson is the same—our people are our greatest gifts.

In the photos above are some of those whose achievements we celebrated and those whose lives we remembered in 2015.
