Wabash Day volunteers from Austin and San Marcos, Texas helped inspect, sort, and box over 3,000 pounds of food items at the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. Those items will be used by service organizations in 21 Central Texas counties to provide meals to the poor and elderly. This was the third straight year for Wabash Day participation at the food bank.
The Wabash alumni who participated (left to right in the attached photo) were: P.J. Tyson 2011; Ron Brown 1967; Adam Phipps 2011; Jim Braddock 1973; and Bob O’Keefe 1985. Additionally, Jackson Ding 2011, was “locked out” in his effort to participate at the food bank but was able to join the group for a post-event lunch.
