Wabash College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor of mathematics, to start July 1, 2018. Initial appointment is for one year, with renewal for a second year possible based on a determination of college circumstances and needs. A Ph.D. in mathematics or closely related field by the time of appointment is expected. Any specialization will be considered, but preference may be given to areas that expand the mathematical breadth of the department. Applicants must have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, an appreciation for the broad intellectual community of an excellent liberal arts college, and the ability to work with a diverse student body. Teaching duties are three courses per semester and include a wide range of courses, both upper and lower level. Wabash College offers competitive salaries and benefits with substantial conference and research support for faculty.
