MUS 301 Music Theory II
This course further examines musical structure through the rigorous compositional study of simple and compound melodic lines, species counterpoint, and three- and four-part chorale textures. The tonal palette is generally constrained to diatonic triads, seventh chords, and non-chord tones. This course is offered in the spring semester.
Prerequisite: Music 201.
