MAT 333 Introduction to Functions of a Real Variable
Advanced -- A first course in the foundations of modern analysis. Topics include set theory, the real numbers, the topology of Cartesian spaces, convergence, continuous functions, sequences of continuous functions, the Stone-Weierstrass approximation theorem, differentiation, integration, and infinite series. This course is offered in the fall semester, 2004.-2005 and alternate years.
(333 is a prerequisite for 334).
