Want some incentive to begin a more healthy lifestyle? The Wabash Wellness Committee invites you to participate in our Biggest Loser Contest for 2013. We will have five categories of participants this year: Students, Females under the age of 35, Males under the age of 35, Females 35 years and older, and Males 35 years and older. We will have private weigh-ins on every Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. in the Max Servies wrestling room in the Allen Center. Our first weigh-in will be next Wednesday, January 30. We will take your blood pressure and Body Mass Index at the first weigh-in and again at the last weigh-in on Wednesday, April 24 so you can see your improvement. Use the Biggest Loser contest as a structure to lead a healthier lifestyle which includes healthy eating and more exercise. Challenge yourself and your friends to come every Wednesday for the weigh-ins. Perhaps establish some friendly competition on who can lose the most pounds within your group. You will be rewarded at each weigh-in with a piece of fruit and weekly winners in each of the five participant groups will receive a prize. But the real benefit will be for you to make healthy choices throughout the contest period to form positive wellness habits to last far beyond April 24. We had about 100 people on campus begin the contest at this time last year. Let’s beat that this year! See you at the first weigh-in next Wednesday in the Servies wrestling room between 11:00 A.M. and 12:45 P.M.
