All classes are FREE to members of the Wabash Community, and will resume on Jan. 27th!
Swim for fitness (Tuesday & Thursday, 12-12:45 pm) pool
Brent Noble - Moderate to advance swimmers looking to develop skills and boost fitness. Swimming Head Coach Brent Noble will be on deck for this 45-minute session to give technique instruction and coaching through workouts. The objective of the sessions will be to focus on what you are looking to gain, and you will have choices to focus on either technique or training with the secondary component still remaining part of your session.
NBA (MOnday, Wednesday, Friday, 12-1pm) Chadwick/Knowling
Tobey Herzog - Informal meetings of the Noon Ball Association. Commissioner Tobey Herzog welcomes anyone to come out for camaraderie and competition with faculty and staff. We play informal games in either Chadwick or Knowling depending on campus events. Come on out!
Yoga (Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.) Aerobics Room
Laura Connors - (Hatha Yoga) End your work day with a gentle, yet invigorating yoga practice integrating a combination of standing, seated, supine, twisting, balancing and supported inversion postures. Suitable for beginners and experienced yoga students, these classes emphasize the fundamentals of Hatha yoga.
Zumba (Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.) Aerobics room
Joy Harlos — Zumba is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students. Expect no hand weights or floor mats, just lots of great music and movement at your own pace. Many people have stated that Zumba got them off the couch and kept them off simply because it is so much fun that you want to go back for more. Before you know it, you’re getting fit and your energy levels are soaring!
This & That Fitness (Mon-Tues-Thurs, 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.) Aerobics room
Linda Janci — This class focuses primarily on resistance training for not only healthy toned muscles, but strong bones as well. The workouts vary with each class as well as the equipment used. Stretching, weight training, pilates, core boarding, benching, fitness balls, fitness bands, relaxing methods.
Deep Water Aerobics (Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 6:30 to 7:15 a.m.) Pool
Head to the pool and get in an early morning aerobics session to burn some calories before work
CrossFit (Monday-Wellness-Friday, 7:00 A.M.) Chadwick court
BJ Hammer - This spring semester on campus, CrossFit class will return on Monday, February 3 at 7:00 A.M. in Chadwick Court. CrossFit will meet for the remainder of the spring semester. We had a great turnout in our first year and we hope to build upon that this year. If you are interested in getting a great workout in a short period of time while receiving positive motivation from classmates, check out the CrossFit class taught by BJ Hammer, our nationally certified CrossFit instructor. As with all Wellness fitness classes, there is no cost to participants.
