The Media Center promotes the effective use of educational
technology and assists instructors who wish to use the creative
application of technology in their teaching and learning.  

Technology can be applied in the classroom:

- To enrich the learning experience with audio, video and
       still pictures.
- To repeat and reinforce material in different formats in order
       to address various learning styles 
- To simulate, repeat and analyze a process
- To engage the students through the senses
- To save time by offering reinforcement and review outside of
       the classroom
- To enhance communication
- To make learning fun!


The Media Center can assist faculty with:

  • Conceptualizing and planning a technology project related to teach and learning
  • Video talping classes, lab procedures and campus events
  • Digitizing and editing audio and video
  • Processing still images for the Web or CD delivery
  • Converting media
  • Region free DVD playback
  • DVD or VHS production
  • Desktop publishing
  • Laminating
  • Flat bed scanning up to 11" x 17"
  • Slide negative scanning
  • Photo quality color printing up to 11" x 17"
