Coming Soon: Student Technology Survey
This year we will distribute our student technology survey just after Thanksgiving break, instead of April. The earlier survey date fits better with our project planning and implementation cycle, and will give us more time to plan and respond to campus technology needs that are identified by the technology survey. Watch your email and the web site for the survey announcement, and please give a few minutes of your time to let us know how things are going with technology at Wabash. By completing the survey, you'll also have a chance to win a great prize! If you haven't seen the results of our spring 2006 survey, you can find a summary here. more...
Internet Upgrade Doubles Bandwidth
On November 6, Wabash IT Services and AT&T engineers upgraded Wabash's Internet connection, more than doubling our bandwidth from 20Mb to 45Mb. This level of service puts Wabash very near the top of national liberal arts colleges in Internet bandwidth per student. Along with the bandwidth increase, we also changed the way we "shape" our Internet traffic, moving to a user, rather than protocol model. Those using Internet services other than the world-wide web (such as online gaming) should see a noticeable improvement in service. more...
